Prune your Bloomerang® lilac immediately after its spring bloom. Light trimming at this time removes developing seed heads for a tidier appearance and encourages new growth that leads to a second bloom. Avoid pruning in fall, winter, or early spring, as this will remove the spring flower buds and reduce flowering. Known for their exceptional disease resistance, Bloomerang® lilacs thrive in full sun and are deer resistant. To ensure the best rebloom, avoid soggy, wet soil conditions and keep the plant well-watered and mulched during late spring and early summer to support vigorous growth.
